    I have this plugin installed on multiple sites and noticed a pattern after installing updates: My WordPress toolkit would flag these instances as having a security fault that was not there prior to the update installation.
    After installation of an update, the directory permissions for this plugin were reset to 777 rather than the safer 755 for the path /wp-content/plugins/insert-pages and sub-directories.
    Is there a purpose for leaving the directory permissions set to 777 when the update installation is completed?

    There’s nothing in the plugin that would set file permissions, or change anything on the file system. Not sure why that’s happening in your setup! You might want to check to make sure there’s not another nefarious script masquerading as the plugin. The plugin source is available here to check against:
