Clayton thanks for the link. But this is all greek to me, WordPress was installed successfully but i received:

Warning! Wildcard DNS may not be configured correctly!
To use the subdomain feature of WordPress MU you must have a wildcard entry in your dns. The installer attempted to contact a random hostname (88b6d2.supernatural-investigations-society.com) on your domain but failed.

This problem was corrected by going in and adding a ‘*’ hostname record pointing at my webserver in my DNS configuration.

Then it told me that I needed to reset the permissions on the directories in my previous post. I went to the link you posted but as I have said it is greek to me, am I able to change the permissions in the CPanel?

Yes, I believe you can change file and folder permissions using the file manager feature in Cpanel. You should spend some time on your hosts site in the support and FAQ sections learning what tools are available to you and how to use them.

You may also want to check out the WordPress MU support forums.
