    Hi,
I used tu use bps_directory as an element of a page, along with bps_form.
    Now, this breaks my site
I read that it replaces the whole page content area,

    Hi Manu-PB,

The current [bps_directory] shortcode does what BuddyPress does, i.e. it replaces the entire page content area. If necessary, a BPS form can be added to the directory with the option ‘Add Form to Directory’ in the Form Edit page, or using a widget. Other changes can be added directly to the directory template, in your case members/index-2.php.

If you prefer not to make changes to your site, you have to roll back to BP Profile Search 4.9.8 (you can easily switch plugin versions using the WP Rollback plugin).

    Hi Andrea
Thanks a lot for your help.
I rolled back to 4.9.8 and everythoing is OK now.
But the question is : I cannot stay with an outdated version for long. Is there a tweak or workaround tu display the directory as part of a page ?

    Hi Manu,

No, unfortunately later versions can’t do what 4.9.8 does. If you wish to upgrade to a newer BP Profile Search version, the page content area will be taken by the directory, but you will be able to add more elements in the page widget areas, or in your directory template members/index-2.php.
