Hello everyone, first of all say that it is a magnificent pluguin, thanks.

I want to comment a question I have. In all my domains I have your pluguin installed since I like its operation.

Currently in one of my domains I have created a directory. In that directory I have uploaded the files to install wordpress.

The problem is that in the corresponding directory I have an error 403 Forbidden, You do not have permission to access this document.

I have contacted my hosting company and they tell me that it is by some rule in htacess file created by some plugin. I would like to know what I should modify in the pluguin or what rule to add to the htacess file to allow access to directories, thank you very much in advance.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

    Hi,

The problem is that in the corresponding directory I have an error 403 Forbidden, You do not have permission to access this document.

Do you know what file permissions are assigned to that folder?

I have contacted my hosting company and they tell me that it is by some rule in htacess file created by some plugin.

Can they let you know which rule in your .htaccess file is causing this issue? This would help to determine which feature is causing this issue and if it is related to our plugin.

    Kind regards

hello, yes the permissions of the folders are correct 775.

When renaming the htacess file, access to the mentioned directory works, making it a rule that is eliminating access.

They don’t know exactly what is the rule that causes the error.

Hi, I’m doing tests. If I deactivate the plugin my directory works perfectly.

If I activate the pluguin again, my directory also works but the pluguin notifies me of the following: Do you want All In One WP Security & Firewall to reinsert the security rules in your .htaccess file that were deleted when you deactivated the plugin?

when I press activate the rules again I don’t have access to the directory

Hi, I found the error. When unchecking
Activate advanced filtering by character strings and unchecking Activate legacy 5G firewall protection (I have the pluguin in Spanish and I have translated the name of the option into English) the directory works correctly.

    Hi,

You should not enable 5G Firewall Protection rules. If you need to enable one of these two rules, please enable 6G Firewall Protection rule.

Note: The plugin developers will be removing 5G Firewall Protection rules in the future.

    Kind regards
