I am attempting to insert a Direct Stripe payment button via Elementor, and I understand you need to use the direct stripe code by entering the payment ID from the settings page.

However, when I do this, the button is created with a generic “Pay with Card” on the button and ignores all of my settings.

Any help would be greatly appreciated

    Hello @dtalgo,

Thank you for using Direct Stripe.

Are you inserting the button using a shortcode ?

The format of shortcode is [direct-stripe value="ds-154185704588"] where ds-154185704588 is the unique ID of the button set at Direct Stripe -> Settings under Buttons settings.

Let me know if using that shortcode format doesn’t apply your button settings.

    Best wishes,

I can’t get it to work in Elementor either. It says “undefined button value, check settings” but as it’s a donation button I can’t give it a value.

    Hello @oliver29,

Thank you for using Direct Stripe.

This message means that the value argument in your shortcode is incorrect.

Did you create you donation button at Direct Stripe -> Settings under the Buttons settings tab ? Make sure you correctly copy/paste the unique ID of the button into the shortcode.

The format of shortcode is [direct-stripe value=”ds-154185704588″] where ds-154185704588 is the unique ID of the button set at Direct Stripe -> Settings under Buttons settings.

    Best wishes

Yes, I know. My code is [direct-stripe value=”ds-1548107781329″]

Ok what did you try to make it work ?

Does this shortcode work without elementor ?

Do you have an url where I can see the button ?

    Hello @dtalgo , @oliver29,

I re-tested the Direct Stripe shortcode in elementor after last update to 2.1.12 and it’s also working for me, I close the ticket.

Fell free to open another ticket and describe your issue if you still have trouble.

    Best wishes,

@oliver29 , your shortcode is not working because of the QUOTATION MARKS. Don’t copy the sample in the Plugin page Installation tab.

    This won’t work: [direct-stripe value=”ds-1548107781329″]
But I’m pretty sure this will: [direct-stripe value="ds-1548107781329"]

    See the difference?

@nahuelmahe , I think you need to change that. Maybe put the shortcode in CODE formatting like what I did above? People are bound to copy it. Hehe. Lot’s of noob people like me out there still. ?? Thank you!

    Hello @daneloctober,

Thank you for using Direct Stripe.

And also for noticing the shortcode defect in the example. I will fix that soon.

Makes total sense to copy/paste a shortcode, even when experienced ??

    Best,

    Hi @nahuelmahe

I’m trying to use Dynamic Shortcode in Elementor following this example
    https://docs.elementor.com/article/449-dynamic-shortcode

But your shortcode doesn’t seem to work. However, if you use the shortcode directly, it does work. Kindly assist

    Regards
