I found the problem – a conflict with another plugin.

Could you let us know the name of the plugin so that we can test?

Sure – Thrive Architect. I haven’t solved the problem yet, but did discover that it only occurs if I’m using Architect to edit the home page. Everything works fine if I set the home page to a regular page.
And I’m using the OceanWP theme if that helps.
