Direct notifications to specific user

If I understand it correctly, feedback and pingback notifications go to the post author. We don’t want the authors getting those notifications — mostly because they have no clue what to do with them and it stresses them out to get them. I have looked and do not find any way of easily specifying a single user or an email address to which they should be forwarded. I am not deep into WP so I need someone to direct me to the file(s) I need to look at in order to hard code this information in.
