I was happy when I read you were going to make an effort to explain the CDN setup, but I was very disappointed that, while you have added support for DigitalOcean Spaces, which is a very good thing, all of the CDN explanation is still for Amazon S3 and you have done almost nothing to explain how to create the CNAME setup for the DO Space/CDN.

This leaves me with the new plugin installed and still no clear understanding of how to set it up with the DigitalOcean Space/CDN for the best performance and SEO effect.

Nowhere is it explained exactly how to interface this plugin and the CNAME with DigitalOcean Spaces/CDN.

Can you address this, please?

When I configure the CNAME in my DNS the plugin still moves the files to the configured DO Space, and I can see that the files have the correct CNAME URL, but I can no longer see the uploaded images in the library (just an empty square) unless I hit edit. Then when I exit the file edit window, the file image is no longer visible in the library again, only the blank square once more. What is the correct endpoint I am supposed to use for the CNAME – is that what the problem is?

Terence already knows the answer as we’ve discussed this elsewhere, but people finding this support topic due to having the same issue…

At the moment you can not use a custom domain and HTTPS with DigitalOcean Spaces, as noted in their “Limits” documentation.
