I’ve been around for a long time to create a solution to allow me to “sell” PDFs (although they’ll be free for now, I want a shopping cart system), with the ability to auto-generate a thumbnail of the front cover when uploading.

Can anyone help? I’ve looked at woocommerce, easy digital downloads and huge list of others. I don’t mind paying for premium plugins, or using multiple plugins/addons to achieve this.

I’ve got 1000s of PDFs on an existing (very old) site, and want to rebuild it using wordpress, and I really don’t want to have to create each thumbnail manually!

Thanks for your help in advance

Hi all, sorry I was wondering if anyone had a solution to this? It doesn’t seem beyond the realms of possibility at all, and I can’t be the only one to want this?

Showing the 1st page of a PDF would look so much better than just a PDF icon

Looks like you need to hire someone to explore this https://jobs.wordpress.net/

Ok, thanks Andrew. I’ve got a programmer quoting me on it. Shame
