    Hi,

Can you please help me define my workflow using the Envira plugin.
I am a Family and event photographer and I mostly sell digital photos. I would like to have the gallery plugin, proofing and Lightroom adons plus the woocommerce addon. The problem is that each individual photo for digital purchase and download needs to have a 1to1 link to a product in woocommerce, meaning that for an event of 200 photos I would have to create the individual products before creating the gallery and then linking one by one the products to the photos. This would ruin the workflow, as if I need to do it this way, I could in fact use the basic digital product from the woocommerce plugin and not the envira at all.

For this reason, I would like to understand if I am missing some5ing or if a Sunshine plugin is a better choice than envira for my workflow.

    Many thanks,
    Hugo

  • Hi Hugo and thanks for contacting us! ??

I’m happy to help answer some questions for you.

With the Woocommerce addon and digital downloads, you would need to set up your Woocommerce product and include the file / image they are to download upon checkout. When you use Envira + Woocommerce, Envira only passes the image title through, the rest of the functionality comes from Woocommerece (featured image is the product image that displays in the cart page, and the download file attached to the product is the link that is sent upon successful checkout).

So without defining the digital download with the 1:1 ration, Woocommerce wouldn’t know which link to send upon successful checkout.

Can I assist with anything else?

    Many thanks for the reply.

Unfortunately, with this method I cannot move to Envira, as it is a no go the way to handle the individual products with Woocommerce. I need a simple and easy way to upload images, create products and start selling.

If I only had to upload like 5/6 products/images per week, it would be a way to go, but I do 3 to 4 sessions per week, and no session has less than 100 photos. Weddings and events can lead to having more than 1000 photos. How would I be able to have a workflow that require manual creation of 1000products, and then after import of the photos, a 1 to 1 link with a selection box.

I don’t understand the difficulty of when adding a photo, run a photo routine to automatically create a product, and even add a price list and a category ….

    Anyway, thanks
    Hugo

    Hi Hugo ??

I’m very sorry for any disappointment, that certainly isn’t our intention. We have some feature requests in for review for some eCommerce changes but I couldn’t give any ETA at this time or guarantee what changes would be implemented.

I sincerely apologize Hugo, if I can assist with anything else, please let me know!

    Thanks
