Difficulty updating plugin version 1.16.5

    I had this trouble a few days ago with a different site where it kept going into maintenance mode if I tried to update through the dashboard and kept having to delete the plugin folder and retry. It only worked by uploading the .zip file myself.

    Today I’m having the same trouble with a different site, but now it just keeps timing out no matter what I do.

    Hi,

    As a workaround, I would suggest installing the plugin via FTP.

    Just download a fresh copy of the plugin, unzip and upload to ‘wp-content/plugins’ so it becomes ‘wp-content/plugins/updraftplus’.

    After uploading the files you can activate the plugin from your dashboard.

    Thanks – that did work! Just strange that this update had so many difficulties completing on two different sites on two different hosting servers. Thank you again!
