    I’m using the free MailChimp for WordPress plugin and am having difficulty subscribing to our existing “Monthly Newsletter” List that contains a group (Select Your Newsletter Interests).

    When I attempt to subscribe to the MailChimp Newsletter List from our website, the Subscription form reports that it’s working, but I don’t receive a confirmation email and am not added to the MailChimp Newsletter List.

    I experimented by creating a simple MailChimp Test list. I was able to subscribe to it without any problems.

    Any idea of what’s keeping me from subscribing to our real Newsletter list?

    Here’s my Form setup:

    Hello,

    Thank you for sharing all the details. From what you shared, your settings seem to be correct. To rule out possible errors, can you try marking “Double Opt-in” as no for the main list and try again.

    If the site is publicly accessible and if you can share the same, I could do a quick test.

    As you suggest, I set “Double Opt-in” to NO and I was added to the subscriber list.

    Hello again,

    The issue would than be due to the emails not being delivered to you from MailChimp. When “Double Opt-in” is set to yes, an email is sent to the user to click and verify their email. Until this is done, their email won’t be added to your list.
    Can you try again for your main List with “Double Opt-in” set to “Yes” and after you try to subscribe make sure you check your spam folder as well. Make sure you delete your email from MailChimp’s list first.

    I deleted my test subscriber info in MailChimp.
    Reset my plugin settings to “opt-in: yes”.
    Subscribed from the website using a different email address.
    Waited patiently for the confirmation email.
    And, wallah – it worked ??
