Difficulty authenticating with google account

  • I’ve had a lot of difficulty trying to authorise the plugin with Analytics and Adsense. I’ve tried multiple browsers, clearing cache and disabling other plugins and continually get “Your account was not successfully authenticated. Please authenticate it.” – despite when I check in Google Account settings that the plugin has access.

    It will sometimes load in the Analytics properties to choose from, only to vanish a moment later to tell me it doesn’t have access.

    Adsense eventually just started to work, without me changing anything. Has anyone else had this issue?

    Hi thetafferboy,

    Google Authentication requires outbound HTTP requests, so if you have any server configurations or plugins that’s preventing outbound HTTP requests, then that would be blocking your site from communicating with Google’s Authentication services.

    If you could share the list of plugins you have installed, I may be able to help you identify which one could be preventing the requests from going through.
