• Heya, first of all, thanks for this great plugin!

It’s been working well for me so far.. But today, as I was testing a new caching plugin, I stumbled upon errors in my console. First I thought it must be because of the caching plugin, so I disabled it, but I still get the same errors?

I use it together with the Contact Form 7 plugin.

    Firefox (127.0.1 (64-bit)):

    ***

Request for the Private Access Token challenge. v1:1:44419
The next request for the Private Access Token challenge may return a 401 and show a warning in console.

    XHRGET
    https://challenges.cloudflare.com/cdn-cgi/challenge-platform/h/b/pat/…….
    [HTTP/3 401 23ms]

    No headers for this request

    ***

Submitting the form still works, though?!

    Safari (Version 17.5 (19618.2.12.11.6)):

    ***

[Error] Failed to load resource: The network connection was lost. (api.js, line 0)
    https://challenges.cloudflare.com/turnstile/v0/api.js?render=explicit

[Error] ReferenceError: Can’t find variable: turnstile
    (anonymous function) (contact:267:464)

    ***

It’s not possible to send the form on Safari.

    I’d appreciate any hint!

    Best wishes

Did you come up with something? I am also getting different errors (I think as I didn’t check all sites yet), one of those show Failed to load resource: the server responded with a status of 401 ()

    Hi,

    Thanks for the message.

Regarding 401 errors, this is mentioned in the plugin FAQ:

    – I see a 401 console error, is this a problem?

You can safely ignore the error. It is requesting a “Private Access Token (PAT) Open external link” that your device or browser does not support yet. Click here for more information.

Regarding the “Request for the Private Access Token challenge” error I’m not sure what is causing this exactly and will look into it, but it may be the same issue. This thread on the Cloudflare community forums does talk about it however discussing potential causes but may require something solving on Cloudflare’s end and not the plugin: https://community.cloudflare.com/t/401-error-for-turnstile-challenge/491565/6

Hi Elliot, thanks a lot for your feedback!

Okay, I’m fine ignoring the error in Firefox, but the problem is, that on Safari the form can’t be submitted. Most likely due to the error I mentioned in my initial post?

In case you have a Mac, you’re welcome to have a look on Safari?

I disabled all Ad Block extensions, same errors.

    That’s the affected website: https://ekesto.com/collaboration/

    Appreciate any hint!
