Thanks for reaching out @samwp1. So we can determine more on this, or check this with the team, can you share a recording of what you’re seeing as per the below screenshot? You can click on the image to view this in greater detail.

You can use a service such as Loom or RecordIt to share a screen recording, while using the this form to share this privately.?

What I suspect may be happening, is you have different Search Console properties for the same domain, as even a http/http or www/non www version of your site can be added to Search Console. Site Kit pulls the information directly from a users Search Console account via the services API, so if you are finding a mismatch this may be related to a different property based on the same domain name. Once we have the recording we can investigate this further.

Let me know if you have any questions with the above.

    I submitted the requested data.
When I open GSC via the Site Kit new tab, it shows the same data.
But when click on the search result, it shows the correct data.
The site kit showed correct data most recently, but no idea when this happened.
It would be great if you could resolve this.

Appreciate you creating a very clear and concise recording of your experience, many thanks.

I’ve been performing some tests and as I can’t recreate the same experience, can you try and remove the page filter from your Search Console table before checking once more? I ask as I notice this filter present when you land directly on Search Console via the Site Kit link. This filter is not present in the last part of your recording, where you click on the “Search Results” tab.

Note also that because what is shown within Site Kit does match what you’re shown immediately in Search Console, any issues with reporting on may be directed to the product experts at the Search Console Help Center. I will however perform some further checks first, so please do let me know how you get on with the filter removed.

You are right. That page filter automatically adds when coming through the Site Kit link. After I remove it, the page reloads, and real data shows up. Again when I add It, the result values become double. It seems that both my domain property and URL property values appear in the site kit.

My other sites also have Domain and URL properties in GSC. But didn’t face this problem. I checked the same way, but that page filter didn’t add automatically when I came to GSC via Site Kit link. I added the page filter manually, and then the values changed.

I think I resolved it. In the Site Kit, my selected property was the domain property. I changed that into the URL property. Then the incorrect data is gone. When I selected the domain property again, incorrect data appeared. So now I am going with the URL property. I think It may not course any problems again.

This is because of that your clue “the page filter”. Thank you very much for your kind support.

Nice troubleshooting @samwp1. Appreciate the update. This will be particularly useful should others report the same.

If you have any further Site Kit queries be sure to reach out. If you have a moment free please also consider leaving a plugin review, we’d love to hear your feedback.
