Different Thumbnail Image

    Did you ever find a solution to this problem?

    I am also interested in this issue, specifically how I can use BuddyPress profile photos as the thumbnail images.

    I realize that I can create a custom widget with this functionality, however the Recent Posts Widget Extended plugin has a number of other features that I like and would prefer not to have to replicate — is there some relatively simple(ish) modification I can make to this plugin instead?
