You cannot have different themes for categories.

However, you may consider using Category_Templates – it gives you the possibility to have a different design. Also, related to this take a look at the the post-template-by-category plugin.

Thanks moshu, I was looking to the Category_Templates but I didn’t understand where should I edit the file category.php
