Different themes for multisite installation?

  • Hello,

    forgive the newbie question: I have just set up a WordPress multisite with my hoster. I’d like to install differently layed out demo-sites on subjects like architecture, health, sports. Now all my multi-sites are using the same theme as the ?mothership? site. That’s standard I presume – or is there a way to install different themes to sub-sites?

  • Add them in to your main site:

    My Sites >> Network Admin >> Themes

    Be sure that you network activate them. (The link under the name should read “Network Disable”.)

    Then go into each site’s dashboard and activate the theme from there.
