I see there is a ‘table header’ option for each table within the field group editor. It uses radio buttons (Optional, Yes, No). On most of my tables I do want headers, but not on every table, so I chose “Optional”. Now when I’m creating my tables, as long as I click the “use table header” checkbox I’m fine. But once I create a table and leave that checkbox un-checked, I get a validation error. Checking the box removes the validation error, but leaves that table with an unwanted and empty header.

    Have I missed something?

Hello, I′m late because I did not get an notification. You discovered a misconception I will fix tomorrow. Because the checkbox is empty, ACF thinks that the require rule is not fulfilled. I have to use a dropdown for the table header option.

Since version 1.0.1, the validation error is fixed.

Because the table content cant represent by a standard formular field, the required option at an table field wont affect an validation error if the table is empty.
