@lurday We’re sorry to hear you are experiencing this issue on your site.

We checked on the URL in Google here and the page that you are referring to is the attachment page for the https://[redacted]/wp-content/uploads/2018/07/arequipa.jpg image.

When you upload an image or other attachment to WordPress, your site automatically creates a dedicated page for that file. In most cases, those pages don’t look great, and can cause ‘thin content’ problems when you have lots of them.

By default, the Yoast SEO plugin is set automatically to redirect any attachment page to the attachment itself, which is the image file. We have more information on this here.

So in your case, the attachment URL itself is:
    https://[redacted]/arequipa-seo-agencia-seo-arequipa-posicionamiento-web/arequipa/

Due to this setting, the URL is then automatically redirected to:
    https://[redacted]/wp-content/uploads/2018/07/arequipa.jpg

We would recommend keeping the setting to redirect the attachment page to the image itself activated, but if you do want the image attachment page to not redirect, you can disable this setting. There is no definite time for when that happens. Google should update their index once your website is recrawled.

After 6 days, it seems that the problem persist. The reason is that the link of the image disappear or merge to the post on the website, but it does not in the search result. I believe because it is still in the xml. Beside, the image should be index into the image search result, and it should not be index the main search result for websites or pages
    Please advise

@lurday We checked on the link and do still see it redirecting to the image file. However, the redirect is showing as a 301 redirect (see image here), so is a permanent redirect. This means that Google should update it’s index accordingly.

If you still see that it is not updated, we would recommend to try requesting reindexing of the link in Google Search Console using the URL Inspection Tool. You can find more information on using that tool here.

    Dear devnihil
The page does not show up anymore thank you so much. it is not even in the first 10 pages of search result under seo arequipa, and before it was in the first page, wonderful job. I congratulate you to ruin it, Thanks
If you are there to support or advisor and get this results, well let me tell you that you should not be here.
I never place the url on the posting I dont understand why you place or add https://[redacted](The meaning of REDACTED is edited especially in order to obscure or remove sensitive information. How to use redacted in a sentence) can you removed everything what you did. I do not trust on what you did as an advisor.
    Thanks
