• Hi all,

I’ve been developing a theme for my novelty invitations business, https://www.filipinoartisans.com, using wordpress (please don’t mind the tables used for layout, I was too lazy to make them DIVs hehe). It isn’t easy accepting online payment here in PI so the catalog type I made would do the job. Anyway, I was able to make the “product page” (basically, the product catalog itself) with no problem. The informational pages (such as About, Contact, etc.) are made using the Page template.

This is how I setup the “catalog”: I have three main post categories namely; All Products, Limited Collection, and News. The layout for each of these categories is easily changed by creating different category templates for each. The problem then starts here… If you will notice on the site, the News articles only appear on the homepage. My main problem is that everytime I make a post under News category, the Single page view of the article follows single.php (which is currently my product page layout), making the single page view of the news article look like my product page.

Is it possible to make a different single.php for my news articles? How do specify it?

Any help will be great ??
