Different shipping method based on category

Yes the plugin do offer option to set shipping method based on product category

but your requirement is not clear can you explain your requirement in more detail with example of different scenario you will like to achieve so we can tell how to implement them

Currently we already have 4 shipping options on our site. Those include local and international postal services as well as DHL and UPS.

Our goal is to make sure that we allow shipping of particular categories only via DHL and UPS. So when customer adds a product from a particular category into the cart we need to make sure that local and international postal services methods are disabled and customer is allowed to choose only between UPS and DHL.

Is that something we can do with your plugin? Is it available in free version or we need a PRO?

1. UPS and DHL are you using some special plugin for showing this shipping method or you have just create a flat rate shipping in woocommerce and name then DHL and UPS
2. suppose you wan UPS for category A product and DHL for category B product, and if user adds both this category product to cart that will be the shipping option

1. yes, we are using plugins for UPS and DHL. Those are not Flat Rates, they have some calculation logic behind them
2. So if user adds both categories we would like to allow only particular shipping method

I will add scenario for point 2

Category A – large, heavy items

Category B – small, light items

DHL and UPS can handle Category A with large and heavy items

Local postal service can handle Category B with small and light items

So if customer adds both Category A and Category B to the cart we would like to allow to use only DHL and UPS. Local postal service method must be disabled, as it can not handle large items

sorry our plugin itself is a shipping method plugin it can only control when its own shipping method should be shown it can control other plugin shipping methods
