• The plugin works fine for me, as a site admin and keymaster, both in site wide forums and in buddypress group forums, although the attachment options don’t show for non admin users in buddypress forums (attachment options do show and work in site-wide forums!)

I’ve made sure that Always Include is ticked, as are Include Javascript and Include CSS in the settings.
All users are allowed to upload files.
I’ve repaired existing users to default forum roles.
All plugins are up to date.
I’ve cleared the cache out from W3 Total Cache.
    I’ve tried different browsers.

There doesn’t appear to be a conflict with User Access Manager – I decativated it and had the same behaviour. I read elsewhere there might have been a problem with this.

I’m running out of ideas… any thoughts at all?

  • Hi,
I have the same problem. Did you manage to fix it?
I installed bbpress on wordpress multisite,, but the attachment control is not showing for users with participants role.
    Any Ideas?

I can’t reproduce this. All roles are displayed in the plugin as defined by bbPress, and I have tested with users for each role, enabled and disabled attachments and it always work OK.

If you messed things with User Access Manager, this could be the issue. Important thing about such plugins: whatever changes you make to roles, that stays in WordPress even when that plugin is disabled. Roles and capabilities are stored in database, and whatever changes plugin makes to them, that will stay even when that plugin is gone.
