Different “Required” Fields for comments

  • Sorry for the bad subject, but miniBB doesn’t allow subjects to be edited, only the post.
    Anyways. IF a commentor enters their email, but not a web addr, WP prints out their name as a mailto link…. I’d rather not do that (for spam email harvesting reasons). What would it take to get it to just display the name un-linked?

  • Ideally, the admin should be able to require the commenters to enter any combination of these fields, if the comment is to be posted, and be able to specify any of these as optional.

    in 1.2 e-mail addresses are not converted to links, only the web address is converted to a link.

    It shouldn’t take much. I am not using your version but it shouldn’t be to hard to find that part of the function which calls the e-mail address and disable it (or change it).

    is there any way to hack it into 1.0.2? Or is 1.2 going to be out of beta relatively soon ?
