Different points in different stages

You’re correct. The score options are fixed for all matches, so changing them will impact the complete ranking.

The calculation method has a filter that you can use to change the scoring, but unfortunately the current version does not pass the match id, so there is no way to determine in which stage the match is played.

I will add the match id in the next version (v2.5.4) so it will be possible to extend the scoring based on the match type/ stage.

If I find some nasty bugs, then I think a release will be needed. If not, then the risk of something going wrong in a release before a big tournament is too high.

But you can download my dev version (use at your own risk). It contains the change.

There are no options for this, you’ll have to code it yourself using the filters that I added in the code. I only made it possible in the dev version.

Robbylai, I don’t know coding, so I used “Golden Games” extension plugin. And just set all playoff games as golden games. So now playoff gives 2x points.

It’s close enough solution.

Thanks for the Plugin Antonie, Just wanted to say, people love this plugin on our site, but the main feedback we got was this feature! more points depending on stage, the main reason is, if you are behind 10-15 points by knock-out stage, most people (the bottom ones) lose interest in the pool as its almost impossible to catch-up. I think this is a very good feature if added.

I understand and I also think this could be a nice feature. But not sure if I can add it in the near future. Kinda depends on the amount of time I can spend on the plugin and there are still a lot of other things that are on my ‘maybe someday’ list.

So, at the moment there are 2 options:

• Use bonus questions to make it easier to catch up at a later stage (I do so in my pool).
• Create the extension yourself or wait for someone else to make it and share it.
