• Newbie wants to create static pages:
    1) Can I use a different theme for my PAGES [i.e., not the same as for the posts]?

    2) I’m currently using FUSION 3.1. But I previewed BLOGSTARTER THEME and it didn’t “translate” well, e.g. some HTML was visible and the title of the blog was Blogstarter, not Sharisax is Out There.

    Any tips or answers? THX

Unfortunately, I have read through the website listed above . . . and it is too confusing.

I DO NOT KNOW WHERE TO START?

    1) Do I go to my host site?
    2) Where do I write code? What window/page?

You really don’t need Page Templates (unless you want pages to be different from each other).

In the WordPress Hierarchy is specified that pages are displayed using a file called page.php, while posts use the file single.php.

You can style pages different than posts this way. You need however to consider that, depending on your theme, header and footer information might be the same for both.

Hey, Peter, THX for responding, BUT . . . when I have tried to add a new page WITH a different Theme, then the rest of my blog is affected.
    ??
Do you know much about the BlogStarter theme?
    Shari

No, I know nothing about that theme. Is there any way we can have a look at your site and look how pages affect your theme?

How did you apply that different theme?
