I’m looking for a plugin that will allow me to set the number of posts that show up in the category and archive pages different than the main page of my blog. I’ve been making daily posts and the way it’s set up now, unless I crank up the default number of posts to 31, half the posts in my blog are inaccessable without navigating through the pages one by one.

Something that could change the archive and categories to display links to every post they contain instead of full posts would be even better.

  • The good news: There’s a plugin that does this. I’ve looked at it several times.

The bad news: Be darned if I can find it in my bookmarks…

But figured I’d pass that much on so you’re aware that some searching ought to turn it up. ??

    I found it: https://mattread.com/projects/wp-plugins/custom-query-string-plugin

Out of all the wordpress plugins I use, I think the functionality of this one is the one that needs to be implemented in WordPress by default. At least give the archives pages.

I still don’t like displaying every single post at once, but as it stands I’m stuck, otherwise my archives are inaccessable save post by post.

I have used CQS forever — it’s one of those plugins I don’t think I could live without. And I’m happy to report it works well with 2.0.2
