We have several sub-programs within our nonprofit umbrella; each sub-program has its own staff to process donations and send handwritten thank you notes.

I’ve created separate forms for each sub-program, which allows me to track their donations separately, but I don’t see any way to have the donation notification go to a different email address depending on which form is used. Is this possible?

Or is there a better way to handle multiple programs? I don’t believe using different “levels” for different programs would work because it does not allow custom amounts for each program, nor does it seem to allow custom notification emails.

    Hi jmek,

Currently we do have per-form email routing as an option without some programming know-how to achieve the exact workflow. In the future, we’ll have an Add-on for this but not at the current moment.

If mult-levels on the same form won’t work, you could setup a single donation notification email and then route them using email filters based on the contents of the email (gmail and yahoo have this feature). I know it’s not ideal, but it works!

Please let me know if you have anymore questions! Thanks for using Give.

I have a similar requirement for my organization and am trying to set up email routing/filtering by adding an identifying token in the donation notification form. Looking at the different tokens available to place in the email, I’m not seeing any that would be a unique identifier per form. Most of the tokens seem to apply to the donor or the amount the donor is giving.

Are there any tokens I can use that would be specific to the form someone donated on? Best case scenario would be a token like {form-name}. Possible?

    Hi @emmaruehl

The {donation} email tag will output the title of the donation form. You can use that to achieve the result you’re looking for.

    Thanks!

Thanks! It looks like the default notification email uses the {donation} token, but during my test runs, that token displays the dollar amount of the donation or “Custom Amount.” Is that because I’m using the dollar amount for the “Amount” and “Text” in the donation form? It seems {donation} is pulling from that “Text” field on the donation form. Is that correct?

Is there a token for the actual name of the form?

For instance, my form is titled something like “Donate to our Library,” with different giving amounts associated with it. I need a token that picks up that this is for the library project so I can then filter and notify the library team.

    Possible?

    Hi @jmek and @emmaruehl

We just released a new Add-on for Per Form Emails. It should do pretty much everything you need.
