Firstly I have to say that this theme is remarkable in its flexibility and I now use it for all new clients having learned a great deal about how to create individual designs by delving into the multitude of options available and extensive use of additional css.

However, I have been unable to find a solution to my present problem – how, if indeed it is possible, to use a different layout style on different pages.

The site I am currently building needs a wide layout for the home page and a couple of others, but a boxed layout elsewhere (and perhaps even a separate layout somewhere else!).

I have searched the developer docs and this forum but only found one query from over 2 years ago which, although it required the same solution, didn’t apply to me because the answer was found by using a different setting in Elementor and I do not use any page builder plugins.

I would like to know if there is a way to do this without resorting to a multi-site or using a sub-domain for the different layouts.

    Many thanks.

    Hello,

Please edit the page(not with elementor), scroll down at the Oceanwp settings sections, and set the layout and other settings as per need.

PS- Oceanwp settings only apply to that page.

    Hi

    Thanks for your reply.

I have already taken a look the Oceanwp settings section but it only seems to offer the opportunity to set the ‘content’ layout per page – sidebars yes or no, and how the content is displayed, etc., within the site-wide layout style already set in the customizer.

General Options => General Settings => Layout Style (wide, boxed or separate).

I cannot see a section in these individual page settings where you can alter the site-wide layout style (wide, boxed or separate) for just the one page.

This is what I am looking for, a means by which the Layout Style can be changed on a single page basis.

Sorry if my original query didn’t explain what I was after sufficiently or if I have missed something in the page settings.

    Hello,

I got your issue, have you tried the above steps?
Please make sure to install the ocean extra plugin with oceanwp theme to get the oceanwp meta box settings option at page level settings.
You can set the individual page layout from the oceanwp settings metabox. Edit a page > oceanwp setting > main tab and you will see the option to select layout.

    Hi

Yes I did try as you suggested and explained why this did not provide what I was after in my earlier reply to you. I always install the ocean extra plugin but the main tab only allows you to alter the ‘Content Layout’ within the overall site-wide layout already chosen in the customizer.

As I have said, I am looking to alter the site-wide layout style (wide, boxed or separate) for just the one page. This is set site-wide by following these sections in the customizer

General Options => General Settings => Layout Style (wide, boxed or separate).

I can only imagine that this can be done, if at all, via code entered into the functions.php file.

If it is not possible, please let me know and I will use either the multi-site plugin or set up subdomains in order to achieve what I need.

    Thank you.
