I am seeing different layouts in the post editor in the backend and the published page. Specifically, in both Masonry & Grid layouts, when I select XL thumbnails, the backend shows 1 image per row. But then on the published page, I’m getting two images per row. Using the Justified layout, I see 1 image per row in both the back and front ends.

However, Justified has another issue. With these settings, the last image is smaller?– it’s getting scaled somewhere in the code, all images are the same size, and it always happens to the last images no matter the order. (The rendering is correct in desktop views, it is only scaled on phones/smaller sizes.)

One other bug (sorry to lump so many in one post) – there is a typo in the sidebar: Gallery/Thumbnails/Share Bar/Lightbox “Settigs” -> Settings.

Aside these issues, I really love this plugin so far. It is great! Thank you!

    Hello,
The size of the XL means that you want to see thumbnails in the maximum size (approximately 350-400px wide). In the admin panel (when editing the page) your gallery layout can accommodate only one column with XL size. But on the published page, as you may have noticed, you have a different gallery width (more or less depending on the device) and in this case you have a different number of columns.

The size of the thumbnails is not an absolute value, but recommended (desired by you).

I suspect that setting thumbnail sizes for some users will not be entirely clear, but at the moment it’s working as I originally planned. Maybe I’ll change something in future versions.

Justified layout is the most unpredictable for the average user. And about the last line, I already told another user why this is happening.

Lightbox “Settigs” – Thank you for identifying this terrible bug and pointing it to me, I will try to fix it in the next version.

And one more thing, It’s very good that for sites on WordPress there are a lot of different plugins for galleries with the correct settings and everyone will find it for themselves if necessary.

    Hi,

    Thanks for the quick reply!

The size of the XL means that you want to see thumbnails in the maximum size (approximately 350-400px wide)

That’s interesting… Would it make sense to have an option for 100% width, and/or a user editable thumbnail size? I can imagine that custom sizes could cause problems with spacing… but maybe a full width option could still work.

The size of the thumbnails is not an absolute value, but recommended (desired by you).

It seems like on my page, the XL thumbnail setting with Justified gallery is creating a thumbnail that’s about 700px wide (full width of my container), and it’s using the “Large” WP image size (which is 1024px wide). This seems fine to me, but then I don’t understand why I get different results (smaller thumbnails) with Masonry and Grid.

And about the last line, I already told another user why this is happening.

I read all the support topics and saw that one… but didn’t really understand why the last image would be gigantic. If you can think of any work-around I’d really appreciate it. It seems to work fine when the window is wide, it’s just that as the window gets narrower, the last image gets too small.

And one more thing, It’s very good that for sites on WordPress there are a lot of different plugins for galleries with the correct settings and everyone will find it for themselves if necessary.

I really do like the way yours works. It’s really fast, and otherwise perfectly customizable for what I’m looking for.

Thank you again for your help and for the great plugin.

    Try version 1.2.0.
In this version, I added useful settings for managing thumbnails – columns for Masonry and Grid and Last Row Mode – Justified . I think it will be more convenient.

Thanks for the reply and update! I love the new additions to the plugin – especially the global preset option!

Also the new justified option works well. Thank you for adding that.

    Keep up the good work!!!
