Different layout for most recent post

    Hi

    I’m developing a WordPress site using Underscores and would like to alter the blog page so that it shows the most recent post first with any additional posts displayed in 3 columns beneath it.

    The website uses Bootstrap which I understand far better than PHP and WordPress loops.

    The bottom of the page should also have pagination.
    I’ve found answers on the forum but they are very old and when modifying the website I ended up with PHP errors I was unable to fix.

    A code example with some helpful comments would really help me out.
