Different headers for home, pages and posts

Hi there,

I really love the Nikkon theme. So that said… I would like to have a different header on the homepage then on the other pages and posts. Only on the homepage i want a big slider and the menu beneath it. All the other pages and posts i want the slider gone.
So… I want to put the php code for the slider in ‘header.php’ and then make a ‘header-pages.php’ and a ‘header-post.php’ without the slider php code or with an other slider code. Then i would like a dropdown in the admin area of a page or post to chose the header that i want inserted. I ones did this in a website, but stupid enough I can’t find it anymore…

Could someone please help me on my way?
