• Hello,

i have the following problem. If I want to look at some events on my site, there are different way′s it would be displayed.
When I click on an event in the calender widget on the right side, the event layout looks different then you chose an event on the events-list (comments are activated, headlines not centered,… to name just a few things).
It′s not just the layout, the permalinks are different, too. A permalink on the calender-widget looks like:
    ../veranstaltungen/2012-31-31 for example ??
and a permalink on the events-list:
    ../veranstaltungen/Event-Name-2012-31-31

This problem appeared at the first time when I make the upgrade to version 5. With version 4, I succesfully layout my events with a “plugin”-directory in the “theme” folder.
Now I tried different things (delete the “plugin” folder, change the template for the event-list-page,…) to maintain it.

I have been used the theme “snowblind”, all the time.

It would be very nice if someone could help me to find a solution for this great plugin.

    Kind regards

  • 1.) with regards to the permalinks, it will be that like because it should get all the events on the date you click however when you click on the event itself it should fine.

2.) layout, do you have a sample link or a screenshot?

check your pages tab to see if your event and location pages are set to display as events or posts.

I already checked the pages tab out, as well as the option field events or posts.
I can see a change but when i switch on “posts” for example I have two Headlines.
Another strange thing is with “comments”. It makes no difference if I switch off or on “comments”, I already get displayed comments on my single-event page.

With Upgrade to version 5.1.2, the calender-widget single-events looks like the events in the events-list. But this is not the way they should look like :-).

One general question, how can I change the layout for the single-events. I mean not only just a part of it, how I can change it in “settings”-menü, but also things like the headline or the comment function?
With normal wordpress sites i choose a template which I can change how I like, but how can I do this with events-manager?
I followed the steps you describe their:
    https://wp-events-plugin.com/documentation/using-template-files/

But I am not sure which file is responsible for the single event layout.

    Maybe this file: \templates\single-event.php

    Thank you
