Different cateogries in different pages?

Hello,

I’m making a site for one of my customers, and I don’t know how to acomplish what he is requesting.

There are 3 different sections:
Blog (it should show all posts in the blog category)
Directory (it should show like 5 different categories)
Travel (it should show another 2 different categories)

I really don’t know how to acomplish this, I was thinking that maybe a plugin may help to have different type of posts.. or maybe I need to customize templates.

Any help really appreciated.
