    Hello!

So far I was using the old, original plugin TOC+. Now I realized, it’s not maintained and it seems you took over the part by creating this fork.

Quick questions here: Can I swap out the two plugins? Any adjustments I need to make? Any new features compared to the original plugin?

    Thanks
    Nils

RE: Now the links are working.

Ok, I had accepted code from another dev who enabled support the [toc] shortcode. When I reviewed, it worked for me. So, there is something which is not quite working for you for some reason. Specifically, the page content appears it is not being parsed. This process adds the link ID names to the headers. That is how the TOC header links function.

RE: Is there a possibility to fix the position of the table by hand?

Nope, this is why the other dev implemented the [toc] shortcode. They had wanted a finer placement control option. I personally would have never invested the time to add it because in my experiment most users have a hard time with shortcodes.

To help you further with this, you’ll need to open a support ticket on my support form.

Please try the newly released version, 1.4. I believe that should correct the issue of the TOC target IDs not being added to the headers.

    Kind regards!

I am trying to migrate too, because I found problems with TOC+, but the shortcode don’t seem to work in posts for me, only in pages. I reviewed at least twice, the check is marked, and I added the shortcode [toc], preview or update the post, and it is not. I looked at the code, and of course, there is “ids” in my headings.

I only want to add the table of contents in some entries and pages, not all. That is why I wanted the shortcode. I am not sure if only the “checkbox” should add the table too, that didn’t work neither.
