On windows 11 everything works fine. I just klik de link (pdf) and the document is visible in a box and “X” for closing it. On my ipad it works different. When I click the link a box is visible with the name of the link again. The “X” is visble. When I click the link in the box the pdf is opened but no “X” to close it and the user has to hit the “go back” button in the browser. This is not very user friendly. What can I do to solve this problem?

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

Hi – Sorry for delayed response. Just wanted to let you know I will take a look at this today. I can say that opening PDFs in a lightbox on mobile can be tricky and hasn’t worked in all browsers. It depends on how the device/browser handles PDFs. But let me do a bit of cross device and cross browser checking to confirm how things are working precisely and if there are improvements that can be made.

the strange thing is when I watched you V2 demo on my iPad it looks just the way I wanted it. Is it possible to get the settings for this V2 demo so I can copy them to my website?

Oh, interesting. So we know it can be working correctly. That’s quite helpful for troubleshooting.

Here are the PDF settings on the Fancybox V2 demo (at https://firelightwp.com/free-lightbox-v2/). And yes, would be worth duplicating that to see if it behaves differently. If it is a setting that is causing the difference, I suspect it is the ‘Embed with’ setting. But let me know.
