difference between mydomain.com/bob and bob.mydomain.com

    Can you point me to an explication of the difference between mydomain.com/bob and bob.mydomain.com.

    I don’t know why I continually get these confused. Maybe ’cause I’m an April Fool Baby? ??

  • I think it is just a cPanel function of some kind that makes bob.mydomain.com (nicer looking) work either in place of or along with mydomain.com/bob. But either way, I believe the server path remains the same: /home/account/domain/bob/.

    mydomain.com/bob is some SEO friendly. Otherwise both will use same directory. “bob”
