• The title pretty much says it all: why would I want to use a plugin which urges me to enroll in “critical notifications” every time I navigate to a post or page…and then isn’t able to copy the first page I tried to duplicate (which was an Elementor page, maybe that was the problem, but who cares?)

Hi Mark, thank you very much for your feedback! Let me align with the developers to investigate what could have happened in your case exactly (both points you mention are quite unusual) and see how it can be fixed. I’ll get back to you soon.

Hi @markolbert, we investigated and we suspect that both of your issues have the same root cause, which is an issue on your site (it usually works fine, please try our plugin on this free demo site https://demo.tastewp.com/cdp).

The two other cases where users reported the “nagging pop-up issue” had different reasons:

    1. In one case, the database was overloaded. This may block to add or modify particular options, e.g. skip the pop-up window, to not display it again. Such issue could also affect duplication, as our plugin can’t insert new post, due to issues with database. (This issue will also impact many other things on your site, so it’s good to get it fixed)
    2. In the second case there was a conflict with a third-party plugin, such as a firewall plugin or request/login limiters, anything that interacts with native WordPress functions.

As the issue is probably 1), we’d suggest that you run the “Advanced DB Cleanup” plugin to clean up your database. That may already fix it.

Or, as a workaround, please install this little patch plugin: https://copy-delete-posts.com/downloads/tools/opt-in-notice-remover-v2.zip. That should also fix it. (You only need to activate it once, and then remove it right after that).

Could you please let us know if that fixes your issues?

I doubt that either of your theories are correct, for the simple reason that another duplicator plugin, Duplicate Page (which also duplicates posts, too) had no problem duplicating everything I threw at it. Plus, it has some additional features (even in the free version) which were quite nice. I strongly recommend people try it.

Thanks Mark, that’s fine, however could you please try out the patch plugin and see if it works? Thank you!
