• Previous review: Nothing happened. I fixed my images by rotating them left in wordpress editor.

Correction: I downloaded the plugin off www.remarpro.com, and that didn’t work. I had to install the plugin directly from WP console > plugins > new > search for “fix image rotation”

This plugin only fixes the orientation of images that have EXIF data containing that information. If the image does not contain that information, it won’t work. Also, it wont work on the already uploaded images.

It would be great if you could provide the image on which it failed so that we can analyse it, know why it didn’t work, and fix the issue.

Interestingly, when I upload the images taken with iPhone in upright orientation to WP, they appear rotated 90 degrees to the left in my preview, and then in the article, they appear correctly. Is that the plugin working or WP interpreting it correctly in the final display of the web page?
If you would like to see an example image, how can I get that to you?

You can either put it in a zip file and upload it to your site, or you can use some file sharing website/tool like Dropbox, or file dropper etc and share the link here, that way I’ll get the original file instead of modified one.

Here is an example image that appears sideways in the default WP editorhttps://www.dropbox.com/s/llyunb3v08bva2l/URVY4836.jpg?dl=0

I just tested the plugin with the file you’ve sent on WordPress 4.3.1, and the plugin seems to be working like it should. Here’s a screencast of me doing the same.

Can you verify if the plugin is “Activated” ?
Can you provide me with the steps I missed or I should take in order to replicate the issue you’re facing?

Also I just noticed that you’ve mentioned you’re using this plugin with WordPress 1.0, well, I’ve clearly mentioned on the plugin page that this plugin supports only WordPress 3.5+ maybe thats the issue.

In case you’re not using WordPress 1.0, can you please provide the correct WordPress version you’re using?

If you’re using WordPress 1.0, I’d strongly advice you to go for a backup(files and DB) then update the site as soon as possible.
