• I compressed my eCommerce website images Using this plugin (Page Size-4.23MB/Load time-10.1S). After the compression speed performance report (GTmetrix-0.2S less) did’t change much.

But on the other side sharpness was gone from the images. I also tried features like high contrast and thumbnail restore but nothing gave me the desired result.

I suggest instead of using plugins, Compress the images manually before you upload them in your server. There are many software available which does a better job.

    Hello @pamwp,

Thank you for your time writing this review. I’m sorry to hear that you’re not satisfied with our plugin.

I compressed my eCommerce website images Using this plugin (Page Size-4.23MB/Load time-10.1S). After the compression speed performance report (GTmetrix-0.2S less) did’t change much.

It would really help if you could share here the Performance Report so we could have a closer look at it and what options were active in the Smush settings. Besides the size of the image, many other factors affecting the speed loading time.

But on the other side sharpness was gone from the images. I also tried features like high contrast and thumbnail restore but nothing gave me the desired result.

There should be no changes in quality if the image, because the free version of the Smush only does lossless compression. Perhaps on your site, original images were loading on the front end which was resized to smaller dimensions?

Thank you for giving Smush a try. We will be happy to investigate this and see what is the issue, please open a thread in the support forums.

    Kind regards,
    Nastia
