Didn’t have web hook configured

    I did not have a web hook enabled for stripe. I see that a lot of payments have been captured over the last three or four months and they’re all showing as abandoned in my dashboard. there are some legit abandoned transactions but a lot of these actually went through. how might I go about making sure everything updates properly now that I have added the web hook in the correct way?

    Happy to clarify that!

    The webhook is the way that the Payment gateways communicate with GiveWP to tell if the donation went well or not, so, when you do not have this configured, it means that GiveWP is not able to know if the donation went through or not. Then, GiveWP leaves the donation as pending, waiting for a confirmation. If it doesn’t receive the confirmation, then GiveWP changes the donation status to abandoned.

    What you’ll need to do now is to access your Stripe account and cross-check which donations went through and then change their status on GiveWP from Abandoned to Complete. This will be manual work, but you’ll ensure that you have the correct donations on your site.
