Didn't block any spam (didn't try any other functions)

It’s odd having so many reports of spam blocking, and I have sites with 1000s of trashed spam comments daily with this plugin that it was completely ineffectual for you.

Did you also disable Akismet and other spam plugins? Because if not, they will also “mark” your comments as they analyse and will in all likelihood override/interfere any settings this plugin tries to make.

If it doesn’t work, it’s much better to drop me a line and let me know, because if there’s a problem with the plugin I can usually fix it quickly (as you’ll see in the support forum already). As much as I’d want to help, I can’t fix problems with a 2* review and no information unfortunately.

All poor reviews this plugin receives are by folks that refuse to post to the support forum first.

I was not using Akismet or any other spam plugins.

I had no intention of hurting your plugin with a poor review, I just tried to use it and it didn’t work, so I had to find another plugin, and I was letting people know what my experience was.

I very much appreciate your response and willingness to help, and if I can I will remove my 2 star review – or change it for a better rating, simply because of your response.

Ahh… thanks for updating your review. I would really love to know what happened that the spam filtering didn’t work.

Could you try at least the anti-spam bot GASP filter. This is by-far the most effective spam filter for automated spam you’ll find. It completely blocks bots for automatically posting comment spam.
