• The Pro version of this program does everything it says. It works great and is very easy to use. I was finally able to embed a YouTube video on my site with only a very minor page speed loss.

Are you saying you are able to embed a YouTube video without any optimizations and get a 95% score? That sounds impossible. We looked at your bklaw site and can’t find a page with a YouTube embed. Please share that page with us.

Finally, for your assessment of our plugin, you probably didn’t turn on (and maybe not even have access to) the lazy load feature which specifically described here: https://www.embedplus.com/defer-parsing-of-javascript-improve-gtmetrix-speed-of-page-with-youtube-embed.aspx

That lazy load feature seems to require a payment for the Pro upgrade. I’m happy to pay that if it works, but I’m not going to pay to find out if it does.

The website is https://www.bklaw.com/ and I took out the YouTube embed because it was slowing down the page.

Ok. So we can now confirm that you’re rating the plugin based on a feature that you never used. Please do send that page on bklaw that has a YouTube embed and has a 95% score though.

    Regards.

The page is set forth above and has not changed.

Ok. So put a YouTube embed that you wanted to put on that page, but without the plugin. Let’s see what score you get then? Your experiment in which you compared a page without a YouTube embed with a page with one isn’t valid.

What? That’s the only comparison that does matter. I used the plugin to embed a YouTube video and it slowed down the page speed to like 71. I will remove my review since you’re correct that it did not utilize the paid Pro upgrade, but there should be some way to test the efficacy of the Pro upgrade before paying for it.

The YouTube player alone is the cause of the heavy drop in the score, not the plugin. Please take a look at this video and see what happens when you embed a YouTube video without the plugin and then how the defer scripts and lazy loading features of the plugin fix that issue: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=omNdJvXDCLo

We suggest you try at least the first part of the experiment to see what you get.

Finally, as far as your concerns about purchase, we offer refunds — efficiently to add. Pun not intended.

I understand that the plugin did not cause the drop in score. However, the entire reason I sought out your plugin was because I needed to be able to embed the YouTube video without losing page speed. I am perfectly capable of embedding the code myself (which I had done before). I was hoping your plugin would enable the embedding of the YouTube video without loss of page speed. There are other options that allow the loading of just the YouTube thumbnail without loading the full video codecs and paths until it is clicked on, and that may be the way I need to go. No disrespect intended. I just want to be able to embed the video without loss of page speed. I will try your Pro version if I am unable to resolve the issue otherwise.

    Thank you.
