After editing (and saving) you always get the message that you have unsafed data when you wanna go to preview or close the tab or surf to dashboard… etc…
As soon as we turn off monster insights the bug is gone.

If you need more info or screenshots please let me know!

Thanks and looking forward to a fast bug fix.

We are currently using V9.1.0 but the bug was already there V9.0.1

Also I think it would be great if you do not mark support tickets as solved while the bug is still out there!!!!

I managed to narrow the problem down a bit:

The error message in the wordpress editor only shows up as long as this widget is turned on:

When the widget is hidden in the editor settings you can leave the post or page without any pop up message.

    Hi @dontwakeme,

    Thanks for waiting!

We’ve released a fix for this issue, which is now available in the latest version of MonsterInsights. Please update the plugin for the patch to apply.

@devmich thanks a lot! I will update and test early next week!

@devmich just updated to 9.2.0 and did some tests but the patch did not solve the bug so closing this thread was a bit too fast! It’s still the same – as soon as I activate the widget in the editor the warning message shows up every time you want to close the editor….

Please reopen – if you need further information please let me know

    Hi?@dontwakeme,

Thanks for the follow up. I’m sorry for the continuing trouble here.

Out of curiosity, do you have any cache running on your website? Does clearing the cache help resolve the issue? If not, that’s helpful to know so I can rule it out as a cause with our team.

In the meantime, I did a quick test on my test WordPress site and the prompt doesn’t appear when I open and close the editor, or when I open or collapse the MonsterInsights meta box, but I’m continuing to try and recreate the issue. Will share an update as soon as I’m able to.

    Thank you.

    Hi @devmich

thanks for your reply. The only cache like thing running on the webiste is autoptimize but since the problem is only present when editing in the wordpress editor in the backend it should have no impact. Just to be sure I tried once again to turn on the monsterinsights widget and than clear the chache. The result is still the same. When the monster insights widget is turned on in the editor you get the message when you wanna leave the editor after saving. As soon as the widget is turned off everything works fine.

    Hi @dontwakeme,

Just quickly checking in as our team released a patch for an error relating to our Headline Analyzer. It’s not totally related here, but I was just wondering if you wouldn’t mind updating and letting me know if there are any changes or not.

If you continue to have issues, would you be able to reach out to us at https://www.monsterinsights.com/get-help/ so we can take a look at things directly to resolve it?

    Thanks!

    Hi @devmich,

as you kinda predicted the recent update to Version 9.2.1 did not help. It’s the same as before.

    best regards,
