Both the Woocommerce and Square teams really need to put more time into this plugin, it lacks refinement even though it generates revenues for both of these companies.

Woocommerce Square is the only bridge between our physical and online stores but the devs treat it like an afterthought. I pay hundreds per month in transaction fees, subscribe to several paid plugins and yet no-one is paying any attention to this bridge that could make the experience of running a retail business through the pandemic better.

Sync needs to work much better, be more reliable.

Syncing modifiers/variations/options/attributes/whatever you want to call it all needs to happen, long overdue.

    Gift cards.

Support for products in multiple categories.

Not having duplicate items in Square when Woo is the SoR needs to be addressed.

A general focus on making product management work together well is needed. Thinking that this is primarily a payment processor for Woo is really outdated, we could just (and very well may) use Stripe, PayPal, Woo or anything else.

    Hi @miclovin,

Thanks for reaching out to us!

First of all, let me say I’m so sorry to hear you’ve had so many problems with the Square plugin.

We really appreciate you taking the time to share this valuable feedback with us.

It would be great to have you add your ideas for enhancing the Square plugin to the WooCommerce Square Ideas Board, which is where developers go to look for future plugin features and improvements.

I do see there’s some existing ideas I recommend voting on to have those more likely to be looked at, such as Gift Card Integration With Square Gateway.

It’d be great to hear more about how you think we can improve the Square plugin, as we do feel involving our users who work with the plugin every day in that process is really beneficial for both us and yourself.

    Thank you!
