    Hi David, this is just a thought. The Tags, Categories, Markup and Style sections all have a description field. This is useful for me to help document how I’ve setup MLA, what the tags/categories are meant to be used for and then how they relate to MLA shortcodes on specific pages.

    Would it be possible to add a description field to the entries in the “Custom fields” and “IPCT/EXIF” tabs?

    Good to hear from you again, and thanks for an interesting idea.

    Adding a description field to the “Custom fields” and “IPCT/EXIF” mapping rule tabs is feasible but would be a non-trivial amount of work/code. I am close to my next MLA version and will not be able to include this change immediately. I will work on it after the next MLA version goes out.

    I will leave this topic unresolved for now and post an update when I have progress to report. Thanks again for suggesting the new feature.

    I have released MLA version 2.97, which adds the Description field to both mapping rule types and has a few other improvements as well. I am marking this topic resolved, but please update it if you have any trouble with the latest version.
