In eMail clients could a short summary been shown under the title, wich could be normally generated from first wordings inside E-Mail – or if a preheader field was defined, the information from these field was shown.
These was used under android & iOS Mailclients and also Outlook, Thunderbird, GMail and Yahoo.
Because you can place here some Textelements and direct approach to customer you could get higher opening rates.
Maybe it was a sensefull further development to place these in the editor too – if it is desired not to overwhelm inexperienced users, you could add it the options area where you could add f.e. the Reply to Adress in Mail header.

    Hello,

You can already use the PreHeader on your e-mail. The preheader is the first text in your campaign.

In Jackmail, you can click on the first block of text containing the web copy link and add your PreHeader before this content.

    Have a good day.

    ok, good to know.
But that means that these text will also display in the detailview of Newsletter.
And if you place there some special CTA Text elements to increase the opening rate, these texts made no sense on the openend Newsletter. Therefore was the PreHeader element created.
Some other high-professional Newslettersolutions like selligent and also some WP Newsletter solutions (Mailster) works with that.

Maybe you think about an enhancement in that way – looks not so elaborate for me ??
