Developer Account – Company Not Listed As Option

    I already had this conversation with Stripe and they sent me to GiveWP for help. Here’s that chat with all the info about the problem:

    hello there. I am a developer on an account and I am trying to link it with my woocommerce donations plugin (GiveWP) in our WordPress website but this plugin, as it is a partner of Stripe, doesn’t use APIs, it has a direct login connection. So, I log into my developer account for the business and it takes me to a form to create a new business. I backed out of there, tried again, and backed out again and now, this login of mine has 2 unnamed businesses which I CAN connect to through this plugin but still the organization I’m trying to connect to, that I am a developer for, won’t come up as an option to connect. NOTE, when I get to the point of connecting to stripe, I am now at a connect.stripe.com domain so this is a stripe issue, not an issue of the third party plugin.

    listed with those 2 unnamed accounts which I can’t now seem to figure out how to delete lol, should be the organization I’m working on for this but it’s not an option.

    Hello, so, when you’re trying to connect your account, seems it’s not working and instead is asking you to connect other unnamed accounts?

    well, the plugin IS working… what’s not happening is when it gets to connect.stripe.com, it doesn’t recognize The Company as a company I can link to.

    Before those 2 unnamed accounts were there, it had none and when it had none, it gave me a “create business” form. Since it’s giving me 2 totally uncreated business accounts (i.e. I didn’t fill anything on them as I didn’t want them lol), I don’t think it this, but, the company I do want is still not “live” and Stripes waiting on a piece of tax information that we’re waiting on. But when the company’s owner was on voice support with Stripe, they said that shouldn’t hold us up on connecting our website.

    STRIPE SUPPORT:

    Looks like you must reach your third party for this, since they made the form to connect the accounts, there should be able why this is happening and why the accounts named are not the one you have listed with us.

    ?Glad you reached out. I can help you with that.

    Actually, we do support connections using API Keys. Navigate to Donations > Settings > Payment gateways > Stripe and under Manage Accounts you’ll see a field called Connection Type, and you have both Stripe Connect and API Keys – you can use the last one.
