Dev. Site on IP Before Live Production Domain
-
Hello,
We are in the process of re-doing our website. Currently it is hosted on a server, and we are developing by connecting to the IP directly. Once ready for production, we plan to switch our DNS to point to the new server.
During this testing phase, we cannot get Postman SMTP to work as Google does not allow requests to come from an IP, as it must be a public domain. I Receive this error:
400. That’s an error. Error: invalid_request Invalid parameter value for redirect_uri: Raw IP addresses not allowed: https://XXX.XXX.XXX.XXX/wp-admin/options-general.php?page=postman
Is there any temporary workaround for the time being to test our new user signup process? I see a mention of using a localhost, but since this is hosted on a server (Google Computer Engine for reference) I’m not sure that applies.
Thanks for the fantastic support in the past.
Nathan
