Detecting a broken link inside of a shortcode

I am running Broken Link Checker, Version 1.11.2, on WordPress 4.3.1. My question is as follows: How do I enable the link detector to detect a broken link on a page, inside of a shortcode?
I am using a shortcode with WP Exit Page Redirect, Version 1.2, and included one broken link in a shortcode to check it. It does not recognize it. Is there a setting for this?
